This is a Patriots Journey post.
I’ve been sitting here in front of the computer for a couple hours now trying to come up with a post for Patriots Journey. I was having a hard time coming up with a post for today, but did not want to let it slide since I started late. I was having a hard time coming up with something positive. I have a tendency to get caught up in all the doom and gloom in the political, economic, global, and constitutional realms. I was sitting here thinking (playing Call of Duty) about how I may have to max out the credit cards on guns and magazines by January, when it hit me. No matter how bad things seem some days, I can go right down to my local Walmart Academy and purchase a firearm with little paperwork or hassle. I realize that a few jurisdictions can’t do this, but most of us can legally obtain a firearm on pretty much a whim. Yes, it is a travesty that our rights are trampled in a few backward municipalities, but the majority of the people in the world don’t have anywhere near the access to firearms that we do.
